Summer in Saskatoon may be on it’s way out, but the fall events in Saskatoon are just starting up! As a prairie city, surrounded by agriculture, fall events are abundant. From pumpkin picking to corn mazes, it doesn’t take much travel to find yourself in a picturesque fall setting. The South Saskatchewan River comes alive with crisp autumn air and rich fall colours on the trees. The city of Saskatoon also has it’s fair share of events to partake in as we enjoy the last warm days before the cool autumn air settles in. The Labour Day weekend spectavles at River Landing to night time arts festivals, the Bridge City offers a perfect mix of outdoor gatherings.
Top September Events in Saskatoon
Nutrien Fireworks Festival (Sept 4–5, 2026): Take in dinner at a downtown restaurant or try one of the many food trucks along the river before settling in for the evening fireworks over the South Saskatchewan River. Located at River Landing, there is ample space on either side of the river to give you great views of the spectacular show that sends off summer.
Broadway Street Fair (Sept 12, 2026): Local vendors attract visitors from all over as they take over Broadway Ave between 8th ST and 12th ST E. Enjoy local artists and food vendors, take in the shops along Broadway in this lively festival.
Nuit Blanche Saskatoon (Sept 19, 2026): Local contemporary artists show off their talents with this night time arts festival. Downtown Saskatoon ,Broadway and River Landing are transformed into art galleries that often involve interactive displays. The festival runs from 7:00PM - Midnight.
